| swallow as it may be. I always use a close friend of mine from when I was a kid as an example. He went through college with a total beater, a '91 Isuzu 2wd pickup with well over 250k miles. Upon graduating with a degree in engineering, he found that aside form his 750/month apartment (which he was splitting), he had no debt. No student loans, no credit card bills, no laundry list of Z-to-do's. He gets a good paying job with an engineering company working on the largest suspension bridge on the east coast (charleston). Now he has all this income, what does he do? 2000 Corvette.
After about 7k miles he takes the car in for a service, what does he see in the used lot out front? Viper GTS "Hey can I take that for a spin" says the young guy way-overpaying to get his corvette serviced. "Sure thing sir, just be careful" says the salesman licking his chops like jeffrey dahmer in a gay bar Needless to say, one 5 minute drive had him convinced that corvettes simply weren't powerful enough. The GTS was his by the next weekend. The moral of the story: Get through college debt free, and you will find yourself in a very nice situation where very few desires cant be yours.....oh and an engineering degree helps too.
